Rowing is a water-based endurance sport. It is considered one of the most technical and toughest sports in the world. River/inland rowing involves sitting on a movable seat and using the legs, back, and arms to move the boat with the oars. Athletes row in crews or on their own.

Special Olympics Feature:

The rowing events will be featured as a demonstration sport at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.

Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympics, was a rower.
