The sixth competition day started with bad news: Due to heavy rain, the tennis courts, hockey and 3x3 basketball fields, cycling roads and sailing boats had to remain empty. But we would not be Special Olympics if we did not keep our spirits high, now more than ever. Here you can find a selection of the best pictures and videos of the day.

Yesterday we were still lucky, because the thunderstorm and the rain started less than 15 minutes after the end of the Athletes' Party, which took place outside in front of the Brandenburg Gate.

The photo shows a scene at football. The spectators cheer for a goal of the German team, which shows a super performance despite heavy rain.

But then we had to admit defeat – at least in parts – to the weather. Therefore, the competitions in tennis, 3x3 basketball, field hockey, cycling and sailing were postponed or canceled and in some outdoor sports there were delays.

The nice thing was, however, that the good mood was not diminished by this. True to the motto "now more than ever", athletes and spectators joined forces and made the best of the sixth day of competitions with a great atmosphere.

By the way, tomorrow (Saturday) again with sunny weather it is time for decisions: in 23 of 26 sports, finals will be held.
