Berlin 2023 team says thank you and see you soon!
An unforgettable journey lies behind us. Together we have taken the Special Olympics movement another step forward, given Germany and Berlin an important push for more inclusion and created moments for eternity. And for that, we want to thank you one last time.
Successful Games and responsibility for everyday life
With a brilliant fireworks display in the Berlin summer sky and the extinguishing of the flame, the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 came to a glorious close last Sunday. It was the end of the Games, but by no means the finale in terms of what needs to be done for inclusion.
Last chance! Cheer together as Fans in the Stands
You do not want to miss this: Until 14 May 2023, you can still sign up as a group for our free fan engagement program "Fans in the Stands" and be part of the world's biggest inclusive sports event.
Symbol of anticipation: official torch design unveiled
The Special Olympics World Game Berlin 2023 Torch was ceremoniously presented in front of Brandenburger Tor in Berlin last Friday. The design includes elements of the #Berlin 2023 logo such as the Berlin Bear, Brandenburger Tor, TV Tower and the heart. The torch run itself not only has a great tradition, but is also a symbol for the starting signal of the Games and creates enormous anticipation.
Only 50 days until the grand Opening Ceremony
In just 50 days, the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 will begin with the Opening Ceremony at Olympiastadion in Berlin. We cannot reveal everything about the program yet, but we can reveal a few things: you can look forward to the official Games Song by Madcon, a matching dance, the performance of over 300 artists and much more.
