An unforgettable journey lies behind us. Together we have taken the Special Olympics movement another step forward, given Germany and Berlin an important push for more inclusion and created moments for eternity. And for that, we want to thank you one last time.

With a brilliant fireworks display in the Berlin summer sky and the extinguishing of the flame, the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 came to a glorious close last Sunday. It was the end of the Games, but by no means the finale in terms of what needs to be done for inclusion.

216 Host Towns are excited to get started
More than 500 representatives of our Host Towns participated in an online event to kick off Germany's largest inclusion movement. 216 Host Towns are preparing to welcome the international delegations of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 and implement inclusive projects regionally.
World Winter Games in Kazan (Russia) canceled
Special Olympics Germany (SOD) support the decision of the international umbrella organization Special Olympics International (SOI) to cancel the World Winter Games in Kazan (Russia) at the end of January 2023.
