In field hockey, each player uses a hockey stick which is flat on one side and rounded on the other. They can only use the flat side of their stick. This makes hockey very skillful.
Special Olympics Hockey (also called Hockey ID) is a game adapted from the 11 a side Olympic format to make hockey more globally accessible to players with ID.

Special Olympics feature:

In our competitions, six play against six with some special rules:

• The pitch is 55m long and 43m wide.
• A match lasts 30-40 minutes (two 15 or 20 minute halves) with a half time break of five minutes.
• At free hits, a self-pass restart where a player touches the ball and then dribbles or passes is allowed.

By the way:

In field hockey there are two referees. Each is responsible for one half of the field.
