Send #Berlin2023 all over the world: This will be possible from June onwards with our special stamp. The colourful eye-catcher was presented yesterday together with the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and Special Olympics Germany and will be available online and at selected Deutsche Post branches from 1 June 2023.
The special stamp was presented where the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympic World Games Berlin 2023 will take place on 17 July – in the Olympiastadion Berlin.
Together with some Special Olympics athletes and the BMF, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the stamp designed from logo elements of #Berlin2023 was ceremoniously presented to the public.
"A stamp is a special sign of communication between people. With the Games, we want to create encounters, bring people together. The stamp is therefore a special symbol for us," says Sven Albrecht, Managing Director of Special Olympics Germany and of the Berlin 2023 World Games Organising Committee.
The #Berlin2023 stamp goes around the world
"The World Games in Berlin are something very special for us athletes from Germany. Hopefully a lot of people will buy the stamp and write letters and cards. We did the same at other Games and wrote to our friends at home. Only there was no extra stamp there. It's great that there is one for Berlin now. It makes our Special Olympics World Games even better known," says Maximilian Kröber, table tennis player.
The special stamp will be available in the Deutsche Post online shop from 1 June. We hope that many people around the world will have a little piece of Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 in their homes.
