Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023
The Special Olympics World Games are the world's largest inclusive sports event. Thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities compete together.
From 17 to 25 June 2023, the Special Olympics World Games took place in Berlin and for the first time in Germany.
We celebrated a colorful international festival of sports – with the aim of achieving greater recognition and social participation of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.

Turning old into new: have a look at our upcycled bags
What was left over from the National Games Berlin 2022: a lot of material for new things. About 1000m of banners, 500m of construction fence fabric and over 30 printed stage and photo backgrounds have been produced and now find a new purpose.
Just 250 days to go until #Berlin2023 starts
We are getting more and more excited: It's only 250 days until the start of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023! We celebrate this day together with our international delegations and athletes, who tell us in a special video message what they are looking forward to the most.
A sign for inclusion at the NHL Global Series
Together with Special Olympics, the National Hockey League (NHL) sets an example for more inclusion in our society: Special Olympics athlete Juliana Rößler and former German-Canadian NHL professional Rob Zepp opened the NHL's Germany guest game in Berlin with the puck drop.
