Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023
The Special Olympics World Games are the world's largest inclusive sports event. Thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities compete together.
From 17 to 25 June 2023, the Special Olympics World Games took place in Berlin and for the first time in Germany.
We celebrated a colorful international festival of sports – with the aim of achieving greater recognition and social participation of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.

After a successful fifth day the Athletes' Party follows
After five days of competition, we can say that top-class sport and a lot of fun can go hand in hand. Today, our athletes not only competed in their sports, but also danced at the big Athletes' Party. Here you can find a selection of our pictures and videos of the day.

Unified observers provide insights into their work
At the Games in Berlin, there are 16 Unified sports in which athletes with intellectual disabilities participate in sports together with so-called Unified partners without disabilities. The Unified observers ensure that all rules are followed.
