Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023
The Special Olympics World Games are the world's largest inclusive sports event. Thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities compete together.
From 17 to 25 June 2023, the Special Olympics World Games took place in Berlin and for the first time in Germany.
We celebrated a colorful international festival of sports – with the aim of achieving greater recognition and social participation of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.

#Berlin2023 Day 4: What's on the agenda today?
It's the fourth day of the Games, on which final competitions and thus medal decisions are already taking place in eleven sports, our Special Olympics Festival is teaming up with the Fête de la Musique and much more. An overview of the highlights of the day can be found here.
Day three with the best mood and exciting moments
On the third day of the competitions, not only our athletes but also our audience convinced us of their qualities. Thank you for that! Here you can find a selection of our pictures and videos of the day.
Join in and have fun at the Activity Zone
When soap bubbles and paper airplanes fly through the air and happy children's cheering can be heard, then the Activity Zone of Berlin 2023 has begun. Especially for the younger visitors there is a lot to discover and try out at Messe Berlin and the Neptunbrunnen – but people of all ages are welcome here.

Olympiapark

There will also be the Special Olympics Festival at Neptunbrunnen and various highlight events at Brandenburg Gate, as well as the big Closing Ceremony.
