Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023
The Special Olympics World Games are the world's largest inclusive sports event. Thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities compete together.
From 17 to 25 June 2023, the Special Olympics World Games took place in Berlin and for the first time in Germany.
We celebrated a colorful international festival of sports – with the aim of achieving greater recognition and social participation of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.

Today is the day! We celebrate the big Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, but there is much more on the agenda. An overview of today's highlights can be found here.
When excitement rises, training is the best distraction
One day before the big Opening Ceremony in the Olympiastadion, the athletes familiarize themselves with the competition venues for the first time. On freshly cleaned courts, fields and mats, the final training can begin.
Three congresses, many voices and a huge impact
We would like to see a more inclusive world, but what needs to be done concretely to achieve this? These and many other questions are asked by the participants of our congresses in the context of Berlin 2023.

Olympiapark
