The Special Olympics World Games are the world's largest inclusive sports event. Thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities compete together.
From 17 to 25 June 2023, the Special Olympics World Games took place in Berlin and for the first time in Germany.
We celebrated a colorful international festival of sports – with the aim of achieving greater recognition and social participation of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.

Come by and experience the Special Olympics Festival
The SO Festival is a unique and inclusive experience for all sports and culture enthusiasts: From live music, to inclusive theater and cultural offerings, to hands-on activities at exhibitors stands and workshops. We offer it all.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run takes on its course
From Athens to the Olympiastadion – but before that also from Fürstenwalde, Potsdam and Teltow to many Berlin districts. This is the route of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR®) Final Leg as part of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
The exciting journey of our volunteers begins
Our volunteers are an indispensable part of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023. A total of 16,000 volunteers are going to be in action, and some have already started in various working areas.
